Why temperament test your dog?
- The ATTS Temperament Test provides breeders a consistent, impartial, and proven method for evaluating temperament. Using temperament test results when making breeding decisions can help you improve your breeding program. While many different things influence temperament, it is a heritable characteristic, being estimated at being at least 50% genetic.
- The ATTS Temperament Test gives owners insight into their dog's behavior. Temperament test results can help educate owners about their dog's behavioral strengths and weaknesses.
- Because of breed-specific dog legislation, breed based insurance discrimination and negative publicity associated with many breeds of dogs. Temperament testing has assumed an important role for today's dog fancier. Further, ATTS statistics prove that the rationale for BSL, insurance discrimination and negative perception against certain breeds is not based on facts, but on fiction.
