I am calling her Dora
Because she is on death’s door. Dora is a female pit mix. She is maybe 2 years or so but I am not the best to judge that. Although I usually have a pretty good idea.
Dora came to MAC (Minneapolis Animal Control) 5/24 so her 6 day hold is ’bout up. [...]

Bubba a week before his untimely death
Well its happened again. We lost another wee one to Parvo. Days before Bubba was slated to be picked up from AC he fell seriously ill. As I mentioned in my post about Jordan Parvo can strike fast. I am sad and frustrated. People just don’t seem to understand [...]

Anyway - I digress…
Stella’s been sprung!
Well, our poor little, ahem - I say little figuratively as Stella needs the WW point system, was abandoned in [...]

In the past year Debbie has managed to terminate three squirrels. Seemingly she has perfected the art. Keep in mind she is contained in a small fenced yard (city lot). But somehow she is able to commandeer both stealth and momentum.
The first time she killed I happen to glance out of the window. Something [...]

Henna at an adoption day.
Yes, that’s right - Henna was adopted!
Foster mamma Amy had this to say about Henna’s new digs.
She has a great new mommy and daddy and a nice big back yard to explore. In total Henna style - she started to check out her new house, making herself right at home climbing [...]

Laura, Bubba & Paula at Bloomington AC
Okay, okay, so his name is not officially Bubba. Actually he doesn’t even have a name. But I like to think of him as a Texan Bronco Bubba. This little guy does the funkiest side-winding s-curve buck skip I have ever seen. But wouldn’cha just leave that up to [...]

Well we did it! And boy it wasn’t easy. Many thanks to all the people who worked so hard at the capital to see this bill through to fruition - Nancy Minion (assisted with bill’s authorship), Bill Forbes (MACA), Rep. Michael Paymar and Sen. Ellen Anderson.
Big thanks also go out to the members of ARLP’s [...]

A girl and her dog = forever
So I don’t understand this losing interest in your dog thing. What is up with this? Part of our work is reaching out and talking to other members of the animal community. And today I had an individual ask me if he could keep ARLP’s contact information handy so [...]

Parvovirus * isn’t picky about who it takes.
* Each Parvovirus link will take you to a different site about Parvo
Sometimes there are dogs that touch your heart even if you never had the opportunity to meet them in person. Daphne was like that for me. When I saw her frightened hollowed face I knew that [...]
