Home Sweet Home

Well I have made it back home. There is nothing like a drive across the country that makes me appreciate Minnesota more. I simply love it here.
Unfortunately I was not able to see any shelters from the inside. But when you are sightseeing with a bunch of people it is easy to be vetoed. It was also really hot out there! It was something going from Minnesota where summer has not really started to 93 degrees in Jersey.
Driving through D.C. I did not see one pit bull or Rottweiler. In Jersey I saw one pit bull on the street being walked by a man wearing a shirt and tie at the end of the day. And in Pennsylvania, or maybe it was Ohio, I saw an older man (60-70 years) letting his pittie take a potty break at a wayside stop.
That was it.
Coming back I have also found that some program dogs have also made it home.

Joey and his new bro Dauber
Finally our Joey - who had been in the program coming up on a year - has made it to his final ‘foster’ home. Literally. Yep that’s right - his new parents are foster failures. But it’s all good.

Silver
Silver was one of the dogs rescued from one of the largest seizures of animals for the Minnesota Animal Humane Society. It involved more than 200 animals in all, on a farm in Viola Township in Olmsted County. Silver is one of 4 Bull Terrier puppies ARLP was asked to take into our program. And wahlah! This little sweetie has already been adopted. He also has a new name, Gary!
Check out Silver’s siblings and our other program dogs.
