Volunteer Kellie gives us a peek into her world.
I just had to continue Lara’s Crazy Dog Lady blog as I find this topic terribly interesting and often wonder…how did I go from never having a pet of my own (well besides a Brazilian Rainbow Boa), to BAM! crazy dog lady?!?!

Since Daphne will be leaving me this coming Saturday our intake coordinator Paula thought that I might like to have a picture of my Punk when she first came to ARLP. Just looking at the before picture as opposed to more recent photographs I have taken renews my vigor [...]

I sincerely believe that dogs know when we are in pain.
I found out this morning that someone who had been very close to me passed away. It was sudden, unexpected and tragic. After my initial breakdown, as I sat, numb and sick to my stomach, Ike and Debbie slowly approached me. Ike was sullen, Debbie [...]

Debbie ~ Water in a stream = good ~ Water falling from the sky = bad
For many people Spring is a beautiful thing. Me? Not so much.
For me, a dog hoarder in training, Spring means shit - literally. Spring also means mud. Spring means, “it’s raining mom, how in the hell can you expect me [...]
