Elizabeth Skwiot

Elizabeth Skwiot’s entrance into the world of aerial arts happened when she first stepped off a flying trapeze platform in 2001. Feeling more at home in the air than on the ground, she continued to study other aerial arts including aerial dance, corde lisse, static trapeze, doubles trapeze, and fabric. Elizabeth has taught aerial arts at Trapeze Arts, Oakland; Studio 12, Berkeley; Xelias Aerial Arts Studio, Minneapolis; and has served as a guest instructor at the Motivity Center, the 2005 American Circus Festival, and the 2005 Sustainable Living Festival. She has performed with Terry Sendgraff’s Aerial Dancers, Flynn Creek Circus, and Xelias Aerial Performance Company. She currently teaches Pilates and aerial arts at Core Pilates Studio in St. Paul, is a personal and Pilates trainer at Balance for Life Fitness in Shoreview, and teaches Spanish at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Elizabeth’s dog, Mason, inspired her to volunteer with A Rotta Love Plus and to organize Cirque des Chiens – what she hopes will be an annual event!

Wallace the Pit Bull (and Roo too)

Wallace the Pit Bull with handler Roo Yori have proven to be one of the best disc dog teams of any breed in the world today. Wallace was rescued from a shelter around one year of age so he would not be euthanized, and Roo knew nothing about canine disc sports at the time. Once they discovered the sport, it was a match that was meant to be. They starting taking the disc dog competitions by storm, turning a lot of heads in the process. Roo and Wallace place consistantly near the top of any competition they attend, and recently were crowned the 2007 Purina Incredible Dog Challenge National Champions. It is their mission to show the positive side of the bull breed dogs, and to do so not only by competing, but by documenting as much as possible through video showcased on Wallace's website.

Summit Brewery

Summit Brewing Company was founded by Mark Stutrud in 1986 with one goal: To bring back the remarkable craft beers once brewed throughout the Upper Midwest. Summit beer quickly grew into a local favorite, placing Summit Brewing Company well ahead of a trend of craft brewing that would eventually sweep the nation.

Summit prides itself on introducing people to great beers. English beer. German beer. Czech beer. Beer that reflects Summit’s own tastes and beliefs about what great beer should be. That’s the thing about a craft brewery, craftsmanship. When you put a lot into what you make, you end up with a better beer. Beer lovers all across the Upper Midwest and beyond have come to appreciate Summit’s commitment to producing a quality product, and it is an appreciation that grows with every glass poured. You could say Summit Brewing has come a long way in twenty years. Whatever the future may bring, rest assured, it will be Summit who brings the beer.
