Program Description
This is an interactive program in which we teach the dos and don'ts of dog safety. Kids learn how to approach, ask, introduce, and pet a dog. They also learn what to do when they meet a stray dog. At the end of the program, the kids get a turn to practice what was learned on a real live dog! Have a shy kid who needs a little encouragement, no problem.we are glad to help them! All kids get a free coloring book that reinforces what they learned in the program.
At least 2 volunteers will conduct each program. All dogs used in this program have their Canine Good Citizen Certificate (which is a dog who is certified as having excellent obedience in public) and some are even certified Therapy dogs!
