Rott n' Pit Ed Training Classes

Treat yourself to a well-educated pup!

Our Rott n’ Pit Ed training program is open to all local Rottweilers and pit bulls. Classes run throughout the year, are held on Sundays in Eden Prairie, and can help you with everything from basic manners to reactivity and aggression issues. Dogs that are currently in our foster program, dogs that have been adopted from us, and dogs that have been spayed or neutered through our Get Your Fix! program receive the following classes FREE for their lifetime! (And priority enrollment in classes). Dogs acquired from non-ARLP sources are able to attend class sessions for a 75.00 fee. Classes are open to Rottweilers and pit bulls of all ages. From 8 weeks to 8 years, every dog can benefit from a formal education! n’ Pit Ed Basics - A great place to get started on the basic manners and skills any pet dog should have. Class topics include beginning obedience skills (sit, down, stay, come), leash manners, impulse control, focus and attention, general husbandry, and name recognition. Basics class is designed to be repeated as often as needed, and can help you and your dog prepare for the Canine Good Citizen Test! Class lasts 6 weeks and is limited to 7 dogs.

Social Studies - Need extra help with a dog that barks, lunges, or growls at other dogs or people? Or perhaps your dog (or you!) would benefit from a smaller class size and more personal attention before you feel comfortable in a larger group class. Social Studies class will help develop your dog's ability to be comfortable, confident, and under control in the presence of dogs, people, and other distractions. Topics include impulse control, leash handling skills, basic behavior modification techniques, mat work, and much more. Plan to bring your dog on a Gentle Leader head collar or a front-clip style harness. Class lasts 6 weeks and is limited to 4 dogs. We Work With
